Literacy Education

Our program prepares educators to teach students preK-12, in general education and reading specific instructional situations. We focus on students who progress typically and those who are struggling to read.

We offer advanced study in the teaching of preK-12 literacy. Specifically, teachers can earn the following:

Certifies holder to teach reading in K-12 settings (seeker must already hold a valid teaching certificate or license).
Holder must have had 9 to 12 hours in reading coursework prior to beginning any endorsement coursework.
